Joe Aillet Endowed Scholarship

The Joe Aillet Endowed Scholarship, recently established by a generous gift from the Aillet family, will be awarded annually to a deserving Louisiana Tech Football player and is a great way to honor a Louisiana Tech Athletics legend.

The Louisiana Tech football stadium and fieldhouse were both named in honor of hall of fame coach Joe Aillet in 1972. Serving as Tech's head football coach from 1940-1966, Aillet's Bulldogs won or shared 12 conference titles in 26 seasons, and he is still the school's all-time winningest coach with a 151-86-8 record. He was also the school's director of athletics from 1940 until 1970.

An outstanding golfer in his own right, Aillet guided the Tech golf team from 1952-68, and his Bulldogs won 10 Gulf States Conference titles in those 15 seasons. He was named the Gulf States Conference Coach of the Year four times and served as President of the Gulf States Conference four times.

We ask that you consider making a gift to honor the legacy of Coach Aillet to help advance Louisiana Tech Athletics.
